Blender Products Channel Blender
Channel Blender®
Channel Blender®
For More Information:
The Channel Blender is the most effective mixing solution to combat air stratification and provides building operators the flexibility to maintain healthy ventilation rates in a variety of operating conditions.
Its design increases the coldest temperature in the plenum to eliminate freeze stat trips, protect coils, and provide a more uniform flow pattern to other sections of the AHU.
It contains both OA and RA control dampers integrated into a frame that channels outdoor air and return air into adjacent paths mixed immediately downstream of the control dampers. This clever solution provides effective mixing without the additional footprint required from traditional mixing solutions.

Freeze Protection
Freeze-stat trips and frozen water coils cost building owners and system designers significant time and money. Good mixing is the most effective and efficient way to provide coil-freeze protection.
Economizer Operation
Poor mixing often forces building operators to prematurely abandoned economizer operation. However, proper mixing allows full utilization of free cooling, thereby saving building owners significant operating expenses.
Temperature Control Accuracy
Sensor accuracy is significantly compromised when temperature and velocity stratification exist. Proper mixing minimizes sensor errors, thereby ensuring accurate temperature sensing and control.
Even Velocity Profile
Velocity maldistribution compromises the performance of filtration systems, heating and cooling coils, and humidification systems. By evening the velocity profile, system components work longer and more efficiently.
Outdoor Air Distribution
Indoor air quality can be significantly compromised when air stratification exists, but well-mixed return and outdoor air results in more breathable air for building occupants.
