DADANCO Induction Units: Designed to Help You Boost Efficiency
Improved Efficiency with DADANCO's Induction Units
DADANCO, founded on innovation, is a leader in modernizing the HVAC industry. DADANCO’s flagship product features a unique nozzle design that enables perimeter induction systems to run more quietly and efficiently than anything else on the market. Since creating its first product, DADANCO has shifted focus to create a solution to address the skyrocketing energy expenses in new and existing facilities. Additionally, their groundbreaking solution to energy savings is their High-Efficiency Perimeter Induction Units (HEPIU) line.
The HEPIU drastically improves HVAC system performance in any application without modification to existing ductwork. HEPIUs are built on DADANCO’s engineering expertise to be a “green” solution, with minimal change requirements to existing infrastructure and less demand on space. Additionally, the HEPIU drastically improves HVAC system performance in any application without modification to existing ductwork. Increased entrainment ratios enable DADANCO units to use 2-row coils with 12 fins per inch, while older units have less surface area for heat transfer, resulting in a dramatic increase in output.
How Induction Units Work
An Induction Unit (IDU) is an air/water system that utilizes the energy given off by two fluid streams to meet cooling or heating requirements in a room. First, the primary air (air supplied by the IDU) discharges through the main air plenum into the mixing chamber through a series of nozzles. Then, a relative low-pressure zone is created within the mixing chamber and induces room air (secondary air) through the secondary water coil and into the mixing compartment. Finally, the primary and secondary air mix, then push out of the chamber, and into the room.
Benefits of DADANCO’s IDU Systems
DADANCO incorporates its patented nozzle technology into the IDU systems to overcome the common shortcomings of existing induction systems, relating to floor space/appearance, cooling capacities, noise levels, as well as energy consumption. Additionally, some advantages of DADANCO’s systems offer over the competition are:
- Lower Fan Operating Pressures – Typically 125 Pa. or Less
- Less Primary Airflow – Up to 38% Energy Savings
- Less Noise – 5-15 NC Quieter on Average
- Smaller Physical Footprint
- A More Pleasing Aesthetic
Typical Applications for the IDU
DADANCO’s IDU system is an excellent choice for many applications, as replacements or upgrades for units that are otherwise obsolete. Some additional applications that are especially ideal for the IDU system are:
- Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities
- Institutions
- Education
- Government
- Defense
- Laboratories
- Commercial
