PFAS is becoming an increasingly important topic in HVAC as refrigerant regulations and environmental expectations continue to evolve. In this Coffee Break Webinar, Marie from SVL will provide a high-level overview of PFAS fundamentals, how PFAS relates to the evolution of refrigerants, and what regulatory and environmental forces are shaping the future of refrigerant selection. Attendees will also learn about available system strategies and solutions that can help reduce or avoid PFAS-related risk today.

Marie Romell is a Sustainable Solutions Engineer at SVL, Inc. with a background in chemical engineering and materials science. She holds both a BS in Chemical Engineering and an MS in Data Science for Chemical Engineering and Materials Science from the University of Minnesota. Prior to SVL, Marie gained technical experience at 3M and Cuberg, bringing a strong analytical perspective to HVAC refrigerants and emerging environmental considerations.
