Mike Overbo and Ben Hogan
Welcome to our Newest Interns, Mike Overbo and Ben Hogan!
We’d like to take a moment to recognize two interns who have done exemplary work for us this summer — Mike Overbo and Ben Hogan.
Mike Overbo has been with SVL since May 2023. He’s had a few different internships while finishing school, both as a mechanical engineering intern with an aftermarket performance agriculture company and a prosthetic/orthotic company.
This internship has been vital for him to travel to job sites, see the equipment in person, and learn how to construct these semi-custom units with computer software. “I like the fast-paced work environment, learning a lot, and seeing new things each day,” he says. “It has been really exciting so far.”
Outside of engineering, Mike likes to spend time with his family and friends, especially if that involves golfing, fishing, or hunting.
Ben Hogan has been an intern on the hydronics team since May 2023. His first engineering internship was through FedEx Ground — SVL is his first position in the HVAC industry. His notable achievement at SVL so far was creating a spreadsheet that helped speed up the process of creating FTR submittals.
“My favorite thing so far about working for SVL is definitely the culture,” he says. “Since I started here, everyone has been very welcoming and helped create an amazing work experience for me.” When he’s not at work, Ben is also a golfer (as befits his name) and plays a mean game of cornhole.
Thank you, Mike and Ben, for all your efforts!
