The ASHRAE Refrigeration Seminar Enlightened Attendees on Changing Standards
SVL Attended the MN ASHRAE 2020 Refrigeration Seminar
SVL was a table sponsor for the MN ASHRAE 2020 Refrigeration Seminar on February 11th. This annual seminar showcased an excellent collection of presentations aimed to keep everyone up to date with the most current refrigeration offerings and innovations. As a result of the changing regulations in refrigeration code and standards for Minnesota, this seminar provided a prime space for attendees to learn and discuss options for system adaptations. Furthermore, topics included R410A Refrigerant Replacements, CO2 for Ice Rink Applications, and Responsible use of Refrigerants.
SVL partnered with Daikin Applied at the seminar and had Daikin’s R32 Literature available for seminar attendees. Notably, Daikin’s R32 refrigerant provides an approximate 10% reduction in energy consumption and has a zero ozone depletion potential (ODP). R32 is one of the new HFC (Hydrofluorocarbons) Refrigerants available. It should be noted that this option is directly in line with the latest standards for new and retrofit systems. Phillip Johnston of Dakin Applied was in attendance and was open between sessions to answer questions, along with SVL’s Sales Engineers: Kelly Hauenstein, Charlie Vollhaber, and Kevin Kerrigan.
SVL also proudly displayed its 2020 line card with some new manufacturers added! One of the latest additions is Mestek’s three boiler lines (KN Series, RBI, and Smith). Additionally, SVL’s newly established Hydronic team has extensive experience with all three of Mestek’s boiler lines and is ready to serve you. Also, SVL’s Parts and Technical Support teams have received extensive boiler training to be excellent resources for all our customers.
Finally, thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth to say hello!
