The F1 Series Indoor AAON Air Handling Units are available in vertical and multi-position configurations. Used for residential or light commercial applications, the F1 series has galvanized steel construction with foil-faced insulation. High-efficiency supply fans and optional heat pump configurations deliver quiet, energy-efficient performance.

Construction
- Designed for multi-position applications.

- The sloped corrosion-resistant drain pan eliminates standing water that can support microbial growth. The drain pan will not corrode and contaminate the air stream. The drain pan connections are positioned in multiple locations for installation flexibility.
Fans and Blowers
- Blowers are selected to match external static, sound, efficiency, and space design criteria.
- Variable speed fans create a high-efficiency system that reduces initial and operating expenses.
Controls
- The factory provides unit wiring with color-coded wires.

H3 Series

The H3 Series AHUs are engineered for a wide variety of heating, cooling, dehumidification and ventilation applications. They feature double-wall insulated cabinets and variable-speed plenum fans for quiet, energy-efficient performance.
Applications
- Horizontal AHU with chilled water or R-410A direct expansion (DX) cooling coils from 450 to 10,000 cfm.
- Split system heat pump with air-source, water-source, and geothermal configurations allow for energy-efficient cooling and heating.
- Make up air capability, up to 100% outside air, to meet ventilation requirements.
- VAV and single-zone VAV capability to minimize operating costs.
- Factory-installed high performance hot water, steam, and electric heating.
Construction
- The H3 Series is available in five different horizontal sizes with a low profile (22-36″ height) for overhead or low clearance installations. The design is ideal for retrofit applications with each cabinet size able to fit through a standard 36″ wide door.
- Double-wall rigid polyurethane foam-injected panel cabinet construction has a greater R-value than fiberglass.
- Panels include a thermal break, with no metal contact from inside to outside. This prevents heat transfer through the panel and condensation on the outside of the cabinet. It also makes the cabinet more rigid and resistant to damage, provides increased sound dampening, and reduces air leakage and infiltration.
- Right or left handed piping connections and service access doors to fit the needs of the space.
- Double-sloped stainless steel drain pans eliminate standing water which can support microbial growth. Stainless steel construction resists corrosion that could lead to water leaks and contaminants in the air stream.
- Access to fan, filter and coil sections is quick and easy. The fan doors have chrome-plated steel hinges and quarter-turn, lockable handles for effortless entry. Removable hinge pins provide greater access in compact spaces.

Construction
- Modular design provides easy installation at the job site. Unit modules may be factory assembled to prevent unnecessary lifting at the job site or shipped separately for job site maneuverability.
- Double-wall cabinets use thermal breaks and closed-cell polyurethane foam to increase thermal resistance, improve air seals, inhibit microbial growth, reinforce structural integrity, and attenuate radiated sound.
- Quick and easy Access to fan, filter, and coil sections through double wall rigid polyurethane foam panels. The panels have chrome plated steel hinges and quarter turn, zinc cast, lockable handles for effortless entry and removable hinge pins for access in compact spaces.

Fans and Blowers
- Fans and blowers are individually selected to match external static, sound, efficiency, and space design criteria as specified. Blowers are backward curved centrifugal plenum style. Blowers with backward-curved blades are generally quieter and more efficient than forward-curved blowers.
- Premium efficiency motors, direct-drive systems, and variable speed fan control provide the highest available efficiencies and operating cost savings.
- Electronically commutated backward curved plenum motorized impellers are available to provide precise airflow control and reduced power consumption.
- Supply fans, exhaust fans, and return fans are incorporated into fan arrays for redundancy, low turndown, and low noise capabilities.
Controls
- Unit wiring is completely factory provided with color-coded wires. Units are provided with unit specific, color-coded wiring diagrams. Diagrams are laminated and permanently affixed inside control compartment access door.

Construction
- Two-inch double wall rigid polyurethane foam panel cabinet construction has at least a thermal resistance of R-13, which exceeds the R-value of a cabinet with four-inch thick fiberglass construction. Panels include a thermal break, with no metal contact from inside to outside, to prevent heat transfer through the panel and prevent condensation on the outside of the cabinet. The inner wall protects the insulation from moisture damage, prevents microbial growth and is easy to clean. This type of construction also makes the cabinet more rigid and resistant to damage, provides increased sound dampening, and reduces air leakage and infiltration.
